Hi again!

I had a little play with this one. We live in an area where we have a duck pond next to a road and every day the ducks cross the road to go down to the river. Well when I saw today's prompt "detour" I just thought I'd have some fun with it and add the ducks!

Another ICAD today, and this prompt was "kawaii/cute"! So I just googled "kawaii" and the image I chose just popped out at me.

So when I think of cute I think of yellows and  pink, don't know why but those are the colours I chose for today's prompt.

Today's prompt was "lavender". And that's where I came unstuck!

I seriously was thinking of just painting the whole card in a lavender shade. But then I decided I would attempt to draw a bunch of lavender, and well, it is what it is LOL.

ICAD 2017 - Week 1 - Day 3 - Vintage

Hello again!

Yet another ICAD creation today! The prompt for this one was "vintage" so I naturally went to my old faithful KaiserCraft Lady Jude vintage lady stamp.

I also used Tim Holtz's distress stains and inks, what vintage piece would be without these?

Along with a page from an old book and a piece of Prima's Ledger paper, I was all set!

I started out creating grunge and vintage way back in the day but haven't done much of it lately so it took me a while to get into this one. Note to self: work on your "vintage" style!

ICAD 2017 - Week 1 - Day 2 - Lost &/or Found

Well I've now done two ICADs! So far so good LOL

Today's became a bit too busy in the end for me but oh well, it's done now! I struggle with prompts, as you may have heard me say time and time again, I do not do well when I try to plan a page or an ICAD, they never turn out the way I intend LOL. Anyway.

Art Journal Page 160

Hi everyone!

Today's post is all about yet another journal page LOL.

I used my favourite colours today in this page - shades of blue! Also a bit of brown and gold! Love this combination! Not only did I use my favourite colours, but I added one of my most favourite creatures - a butterfly! Could it get any better? LOL

So I started out with adding some different sized dots with some masking fluid. I love this product! It's an awesome way to protect an area of your page while continuing adding colour and depth.

I wanted some old with some new today and that's why I chose some old book pages to start off the page. They seemed to be a bit out of place once I started adding all the shades of blue sprays, but in the end it worked out nicely I thought!

Lots of yummy sprays (who else has so many issues with the spray bottles clogging?).

To brighten the page up a bit I thought some white embossing powder would do the trick, and it did! I love how the white looked!
