Card Series - Christmas #22

Hi everyone!

I'm changing it up again, this time with a card! Halloween's over, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving so the next holiday card series is Christmas! Don't moan - we have Christmas trees and decorations out in the stores already *sigh*.

I really don't think this one will be given to a NON-crafter as it took a lot of time, effort and product! I wanted to give this style a go but it took forever! Over two days!!!! I used pop-up strips and the card was based on the pop-up cards Jennifer McGuire showed us on her YouTube channel. Love these!

I think the card also has to be sent overseas because I have snowflakes and a snowman on the card - why, Jen? It doesn't snow in Australia! LOL

I also show you how to make an envelope that the card will fit inside nicely.

LIVE - Art Journal Page using the 'blind3' Method

 Hi guys!

Another blind3 challenge today. This time we chose alcohol inks, which is a good thing because I'm starting to use a lot of product that has just been sitting around. The three colours I chose were Rust, Pebble and Wild Plum. To say I was amazed at the result is an understatement. I didn't think a page could have so much depth to it until I saw the final result of this page today!

I had Eileen with me again today making sure I didn't 'stuff it up' LOL.

You can watch the full (one hour) live stream recording over on my YouTube page by clicking here.

Creating Temporary Planner Inserts

Hi everyone!

Making a couple of one-signature planner inserts for my diary which can be put in my handbag and transported around to be used to jot down notes for later when I'm ready to work on my Daily Journal.

I'm not one to be able to work on my daily journal/planner every day and when I'm ready to sit down and work in it - I've forgotten what I needed to insert and when it happened! So this is why I created this 'temporary' journal insert which I designed to fit into an old diary (2016). I'll jot down things in this and date them for when I have a few hours to sit down and put it all into my daily journal/planner in a way that it looks nice and pretty. Well, that's the plan lol.

You can watch the full process video over on my YouTube channel by clicking here.

Products Used:

Printer paper
Papers already in my stash
Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
Paper Piercer
Ruler
Pencil
Paper Trimmer
Old diary
Seam Binding
Twine
Binding needle

All the above products/tools I had in my stash!

The sizes I used would be different to yours so just use the video as a guide when creating your own journal inserts.

Having Fun With Shipping Tags #11

Hi everyone!

Today is totally the opposite of last week's project - in both size and the amount of products used!

I was sorting through my small stencils (those smaller than 12"x12") and I needed more room as I had accumulated a few more that I had no room to store. So, another folder created just for Tim Holtz's Layering and Shifter Stencils!

Yes, I have discovered the shifter stencils, however I did not use them today - watch out for them soon!

So today's task was to use as many stencils and add as many layers as I could. I only used seven stencils but I used twelve different distress inks!!!!

Looking at it, It doesn't seem too busy, restraint was not a necessity in this project so I went for it! And I love how this tag turned out!

Live Stream - Blind3 Challenge Art Journal Page

 Hi everyone!

So today was my usual Wednesday 11am (Australian Eastern Standard Time) and I chose to challenge myself once again with another blind3! Today my choice of mediums was Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks! I blindly selected bundled sage, tumbled glass & brushed corduroy.

There were a few mishaps during this stream - the postman delivering a couple of parcels, my husband attempted to phone me 3 times and my daughter entering my live stream and then calling me LOL. On top of that I had another craft-a-lanch! I knocked over my distress ink tower and all one side fell onto the floor. No major damage but you can see by the pic below I was lucky LOL.

We made it in the end, as always it came together nicely!
