Repurposed 'recipe book' Art Journal Cover

 Hi guys!

Sorry it's been a while since I posted anything here. I've not even posted on YouTube until this live stream just gone. The silly season is not called 'the silly season' for nothing!

Anyway this stream was done in three separate live streams due to the fact that we had to firstly, let the gel medium dry overnight, secondly to let the sprays and paint and rust dry overnight, then to put it all together.

I wanted to add some ribs to the spine however, that was just too hard to do via a live stream. I'm gonna have to come up with something tricky to try this one again lol.

Anyway, links below for you to watch all three live streams over on my YouTube channel:

I added the 'art' wording after the stream, along with finalising the closure additions. Please check out the pics below.

Art Journal Page 246

Hi everyone!

Today's page was inspired by the journal in which I created this page. This journal is a re-purposed recipe book - hence the recipe theme. This is all about Art Happiness!

The background technique I used was inspired by Amber K. Creative over on YouTube. The effect is soooo pretty! I can imagine loads of different styles of pages using this background technique. And it is so easy! You can watch the inspiration by clicking here.

So I decided I wanted to write a quick poem on art happiness and here's the poem in full:

Art Happiness

A journal, a notebook, a diary, a piece of paper
A paintbrush, your hands, a giftcard scraper
Some paint, sprays, inks, leaves and glue
Your page has begun all thanks to you.
Add a poem, images or flowers with glue
If you get stuck - stick on a bird or two!
It doesn't matter how you start
What does matter is how it's affected your heart!
Stay happy & art!

And yes, if you look at the pictures below you can see I doubled up on the word 'notebook' - oh well, that's individuality :)
