Art Journal Page 249

Hi everyone!

My last page for the year (even though I didn't edit it and upload it until 2023) was done in my 5 1/2 x 8 1/4" mixed media journal.

I had bought the Toadstool Town stamp set early on in December and I just had to use them. So I used all but 2 of the stamps on this page. I didn't know what the title was or where it was going until towards the end when I added the lone bird without wings on the mushroom, then it came to me! However, this page took me 4 1/2 hours to complete!

You can watch the full process video over on my YouTube channel by clicking here.

Art Journal Page 227

Hi everyone!

Today's page was based solely on using the StencilGirl stencils I'd received as being invited to be a guest blogger on their site. I used two of the three stencils I'd received for today's page.

I started off working on the background by applying acrylic paints with a wet baby wipe and I really loved the softness and the blending this technique gave the page. Then all I had to do was add the stencils and title and voila! Quick and easy and fun!

Art Journal Page 219

Hi everyone!

Using my favourite colour combination today - blues and browns.

I started off adhering some torn scrapbook paper to add texture before applying paint. I'm not overly fussed on the outcome though as I think I should start trying to shade faces. This page screamed for me to do it but I got scared and probably lazy LOL. One day I'll have a go at faces - one day :)

Art Journal Page 213

Hi everyone!

Today's page was all about using up the leftover paint from my previous page.

All I did was dry brushed the remaining paint onto a lightly gessoed page, then stamped an image and doodled with black & white!

This is a great way to achieve a page with very little effort, especially when creativity isn't being your friend.
