Hi everyone!

After finishing my 8"x5" Dylusions Creative Journal I've had a look on my shelf for my other 'neglected' journals and came across my Strathmore Bristol-Smooth Visual Journal and decided to create a page in it.

There's a big difference between the creative journal and this visual journal. The orientation is portrait as opposed to landscape, and the size is 12"x9" as opposed to 8"x10".

I decided to just grab a stamp set and create something using it, and that's exactly what I did!

Hi everyone!

Don't you just love playing around with sprays on your journal pages? I do. But how stinking hard is it to work over the top of it??? Most pages need some black or white as final touches, whether it be in the form of the title or just some highlights, but it never ends up clean and white because all the sprays I use are reactive, so they shine through any white I add to the top layer *sigh*.

Today I tried to avoid the colour coming up through the white by adding some transparent gesso AND some workable fixative, all to no avail. Oh well, one day we might come up with something that will help, other than using white embossing powder.

I started off with a wipe-off page which must have had sprays and paints on it but it must have been wiped on there a long time ago because I can't remember which page they came from.

Hi everyone!

I was playing around with background and texture without creating dimension, such as texture paste, using various shades of brown & grey. Once I had the background 'finished' I thought it looked a bit like bricks or a wall, so decided it needed a stencil to create the cobblestone effect, then it needed some graffiti! But, um...I wasn't going to even attempt to have a go at it so googled graffiti and came up with the image I used! Done!

I started out wanting to use some clear distress crackle paint but got this far and felt it was done! It's a quick page today!

I had made a tag that I was going to use as a tip-in on the page but once I started the page I forgot about working it in. Oh well, another day!
