Art Journal Page 235

Hi everyone!

Seems like I'm still on the 'HOPE' feeling with my page today. HOPING (no pun intended) things lighten up soon!

Today's page (the colours anyway) was inspired by my grandson, Justin. I'd recently made an altered file folder for his sister, Amelia, and Justin said he'd like one also. I asked him what colours he wanted and he replied 'gray, blues and light purple'. That's where my background colours came from today!

Only once the background was done did I decide to slap an image on it, a quote and call it done LOL.

Art Journal Page 234

Hi everyone!

Today's page is the first page I've done since before Christmas! It is a reflection on personal events that have happened to our family over the holiday period.

I have not been very active on social media during this time but have watched videos and live streams (lurking, not actually participating in the chat). This page was totally inspired by Coleen's live stream. Coleen is The Scrapchic on YouTube and links to Coleen's channel and the video by which I was inspired are below:

Blind 6 Challenge Art Journal Page - Simplicity

Hi everyone!

Today's blind 6 challenge involved adding a few more of one of the products I chose - the Magical powders!

So I 'blindly' chose tea dye distress oxide, stream Color Wash, emerald green FW acrylic ink, bundled sage distress ink reinker, cadmium yellow deep acrylic paint and bratwurst brown Magical powders!

This didn't seem like it was going to work!!! Until we decided to apply the magical powders using white Dylusions spray! When that magic happened we decided to use all the other colours of Magical powders I owned (I only own 5 LOL).

The effect was just so pretty that all we decided to do was add some black top and bottom borders, a bit of stencilling in black and a quote in black! Just love how this page turned out!!!

You can watch the full live stream recording on my other YouTube channel by CLICKING HERE.

Art Journal Page - Blind 6 Challenge - Imagination

Hi everyone!

Today's journal page was done in my Dylusions Creative Journal and prompted by the 'blind 6' challenge. This is where I 'blindly' chose 6 different mediums to use on my page. They were the only products I could use except for gesso, texture paste, matte medium, etc, as well as stencils and stamps - you can also use any product black or white.

So today I blindly chose tissue wrap * lemon acrylic paint * yellow magicals powder * purple/blue spray * mermaid lagoon distress oxide * purple alcohol ink - what a mixture!!!! This was gonna be hard!

As I started putting down the products the page, and the colours, were starting to grow on me and I started having a bit of fun with it. I'm pretty happy with how the page ended up!

Art Journal Page 224

Hi everyone!

This page was based on the Tag #10 challenge 'blind 6'. What I had to do with this page was use the same 6 products I blindly chose for the tag and create a page based on the background I created on the tag.

I think this background turned out much better than the tag background. And that's how it should be! We should take what we've learned previously and try to improve on it. I don't usually, but I feel I did with this one.
